canner sealing ringA must have for the canner pot user. "two is one and one is none" Always prepared to preserve
5First replacement gasket for My CannerThe gasket was somewhat warped from how Presto had packaged it, but I installed it and let the lid loosely rest on the canner's lip. Problem solved.
5An inexpensive insurance policy for the futureIt's challenging to write a review for a product you hope you will never use. I am no spring chicken and purchased this "replacement" ring for the time when the original ring becomes worn. From what I've read on numerous reviews, these Presto rings have a very long life span - even for those who practice a very high volume of weekly canning.
5Always need an extra sealI purchased this to have on hand. It would be horrible to have everything prepared for canning, and then realize the current seal is cracking and dried out. Highly recommend keeping an extra one on hand. Store in a cool place.
5Works as expected.Fit my 16 quart pressure canner and no leaks. Just wish they lasted longer.
4Exactly what I orderedWasn't anything to dislike about it. Fit perfectly. Liked getting the pressure safety plug with it.
5Exactly what I needed.Perfect fit for my canner. Easy to install. Back to business. My previous one was 12 years old, but I pulled it when I used the pot for a large serving pot. Lost the seal in the move, too bad. It was still good. I'm sure this one will last 20 years. I put a thin coat of olive oil on it every time I wash it, I think that helps to keep it working like new.
5Just what I needed . . .Good quality sealing ring for my pressure canner. If it lasts as long as the last one, I won't be back for about 5 years! 5It works good.Get the job done. I'm happy with it.
4Must have for canning season! My canner is about 6 years old and I have NEVER replaced the ring. Last canning season I did notice I was starting to have trouble pressuring up and I had some water dripping out of the sealed lid in some spots. I knew it was getting to be that time. So I purchased a couple new ones here on Amazon. I was scared because they are all folded up in the box, but once you place that in the lid of your pressure canner, it'll seat down quite nicely. My pressure canner pressured up with no problems and no leaks perfectly after this. Each box also comes with a new over-pressure plug. Make sure to change them both out at the same time. If the ring is starting to fail, the overpressure plug will soon follow, and it's just easier to replace it now than when it blows out and ruins the food in the canner later! And the price is spot on, cheaper than we can find here locally.
