This listing is for a NEW 12" Clear Round Acrylic Globe for indoor/outdoor post light fixtures or hanging fixtures that require globes with a opening at the bottom and NOT a neck. The globe measures approximately 12" in diameter which is slightly larger than a basketball in size. The opening diameter measures just over 5" at about 5 1/4" as seen in the picture.
This style globe is intended to be secured to a "clamp" type base with existing screws that tighten down on inner pieces to hold the globe in place. Please check your fixture or existing globe to confirm proper sizing and fit on installation.
Acrylic material is the best type of material for outdoor use because it is "NON-YELLOWING" unlike polyethylene or polycarbonate types of other globes. The gloss finish mimics glass and shines beautifully for years making it the preferred choice for indoor or outdoor use.
